The late Alhaji Aliu Mahama
Activities commemorating the tenth anniversary of the transition of the late former Vice President, Aliu Mahama, are being planned.
His son, Farouk Aliu Mahama, who is the MP for Yendi, has said as he paid glowing tributes to the man who was the first Muslim Vice President in the country.
The theme for the weeklong commemoration is “Ten Years On, Celebrating Alhaji Aliu Mahama”.
A fresh logo for the activities has been released for the former Vice President who passed on November 6, 2012, aged 66.
He was Vice President from 2001 to 2009 and left behind his wife Hajia Ramatu Aliu Mahama and four children, Salma Aliu Mahama, Farouk Aliu Mahama, Halim and Fayad Aliu Mahama.
