All Set For GEIC Gala and Awards

The annual Ghana Event Industry Conference (GEIC) Gala and awards powered by the Event Vendors Association of Ghana (EVAG) is set to kick off on November 15th, 2023 at the East Legon Underbridge event centre in Accra.

The awards which began with a three-day industry conference in Takoradi the capital city of the Western region is set to award about 50 event vendors who against all odds have exhibited unique excellence and hardwork in providing the best of services to customers which has sustained the industry.

Some of the nominees up for tonight’s awards include Osei Douglas Live, Afroculture Event (thedaveblog), Live Weddings with Kwaku, and Traditional Wedding Gh for the 1. Best Event Blogger category.

Lipstick Queens, Nkyinkyim Band, Arkband, for Best Live Band Group, DJ Paa Kwesi
DJ Nyarko, DJ Adom, DJ Ernie, and DJ Abizzy for Best Event DJ. Purple Oyster Events, Masab Events, Xceedmac Events, Ernesang for Best Event Coordinator and Chill and Serve GH, Elite Professionals, Bottlecraft Rental for Best Event Drink Supplier.

Other categories include Best Event Local Drink and Snack Vendor, Best Event Stylist/Decorator, Best Event Mobile Bar/Cocktail Supplier, Best Event Make-up Artist, and Best Event Hairstylist.

Best Event Outfit Designer (male category), Best Event Outfit (female category), Best Event Rental & Logistics Supplier, Best Event Photographer, Best Event Videographer, Best Cake Designer & Bake and Best Special Effects Designer.

Speaking on the event theme “Adaptability and Implementation,” EVAG President, Kate Hassan said this year’s award will honour individuals and organizations who have demonstrated excellence in the discharge of their services in the event space, adding, award winners who have adapted to new innovation will be acknowledged.

She said the acknowledgment would ensure that event vendors implement strategic policies and techniques that meet international standards.
