All is set for this year’s Ghana-China Friendship Golf Invitational scheduled for September 28 at the Celebrity Golf Club, Sakumono, Wang Shu, captain, Ghana Chinese Golf Association has said.
The 18-hole event is in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the people’s Republic of China.
Wang Shu said in an interview ” All is set for the competition which seeks to deepen the already healthy relationship between Ghana and China.
“Sports, and golf in particular has served as a useful platform to foster healthy friendship between these two countries.
“Previous China anniversary competitions, have succeeded in taking the friendship between the two countries a notch higher.
“We are expecting a very good competition and believe we will put together a tournament befitting a 70th anniversary celebration,” said Wang Shu.
At stake are special prizes for golfers who will excel in various categories.
