All Set For ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ 2019

The organisers of the annual ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ musical concert have announced that this year’s edition of the event will take place on Saturday, June 8 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

This was made known at the official launch of the event held at the Tang Palace Event Centre in Accra last Friday.

The event, themed ‘The Clash Of The Titans’, will bring together the best selling artistes from Ghana and Nigeria’s music industries on one platform to celebrate African music and also create an interactive atmosphere for music fans and their artistes.

Speaking at the launch, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Empire Entertainment, organisers of the event, Laillah Crystal Banda, said the concept and design of ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ is to promote unity between the two countries through music.

According to her, this year’s event, which is the ninth edition, will be bigger and even more spectacular.

She added this year’s edition will witness performances from Nigeria’s finest music icons such as the ‘For Your Case’ hitmaker Teni, Wande Coal, Victor AD, Saltan, Moziz and a host of others.

Ghana will be represented by Patapaa, Medikal, R2bees, Kelvinbwoy, Tulenkey, J. Derobie, AK Songstress, Ras Kuuku, Opanka, Fameye, Narna, Kofi Mole and several others.

Celebrated Ghanaian DJs such as DJ Vyrusky, DJ Putin and Crowd Controller will also perform at the event.

The organizers, however, promised mouth-watering packages, including give-aways for music fans who will make it to the venue on that night.

Over the years, ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ has been known as the platform for the biggest artistes in both Ghana and Nigeria to share one stage and thrill music lovers from both countries.

It has hosted the likes of Wizkid, The Mavins (Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Olamide), Flavour, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and E.L.

Last year’s edition of the event dubbed the ‘Rescue Mission’ exceeded all expectations and became the biggest and most exciting concert in Ghana.
It witnessed historic performances from stars such as Stonebwoy, Kidi, Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Patapaa, Fancy Gadam and a host of others. Nigeria was represented by Wizkid, Mayorkun, Mr. Eazi, among others.
