Actor Majid Michel has advised his friend and fellow actor John Dumelo to make God a priority in his marriage.
According to him, making God the centre and highest priority of any marriage is the key to saving that marriage even if it’s not in troubled waters.
He gave the advice two days after John Dumelo’s marriage ceremony.
John Dumelo tied the nuptial knot with Gifty Mawunya, actress Selassie Ibrahim’s younger sister, at a ceremony at Spintex on Saturday.
The ceremony was attended by a number of entertainers and politicians, including ex-President John Mahama. The rest were Majid Michel, Yvonne Nelson, Prince David Osei, Yvonne Okoro, Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah, among others.
After the wedding, Majid Michel, who has been married for years, took to his Instagram page to advise John not to only love Gifty but also allow God be their guide.
“Let Jesus in. He is what you need. We choose to Love. Love is a choice not a feeling. Your hand has already been taken. Your life-long promise should always stand. Until your last breath you will always hold her hand. Through everything she’s half of you. Even though you may not always agree, you shall never part,” he said.
“This world may not be fair, but through sickness and in health, promise to be there. To make her happy, that’s your only wish. To love and obey is also part of your promise. Anytime things get rough, always remember, sometimes God let’s you hit rock bottom so that you will discover that He is the Rock at the bottom. @johndumelo1 Congratulations,” Majid Michel concluded.
