Apostle Ebenezer Boahen Hit With Another Lawsuit

Apostle Ebenezer Boahen

Apostle Ebenezer Boahen, the Chairman of the Christian Divine Church (CDC), has been sued at the Tarkwa Circuit Court by five senior members of the Pastoral Council of the church for his overstay as the chairman of the church.

According to the members of the Pastoral Council, the embattled chairman Apostle Ebenezer Boahen has served his constitutional eight-year term as the chairman, and has also passed his retirement age over three years ago, as he is currently 68.

About 25 pastors of CDC stormed the Tarkwa Circuit Court yesterday in solidarity with their five colleagues who have sued Apostle Ebenezer Boahen.

During the court proceedings at Tarkwa Circuit Court presided over by Her Honour Hathia Ama Manu, lead counsel for the plaintiffs, Samuel Agbottah argued the court that the case should be heard because there are various suits against Apostle Ebenezer Boahen in which the board of trustees of the church have sued him.

He said the various subject matters in the previous suits against Apostle Ebenezer Boahen differ from this current suit.

The judge adjourned the case to January 14, 2024, for her ruling whether the application for the injunction filed by some members of the Pastoral Council of the Christian Divine Church should be continued or struck out.

Meanwhile, there is growing agitation within the rank and file of the church that Apostle Ebenezer Boahen renders no financial accounts to anyone, as he has no regard for the finance board of the church and controls all finances of the church.
