The party elders presenting one of the motorbikes to Sekyere Afram Plains NPP officials
FOUR NEW Patriotic Party (NPP) constituencies in the Ashanti Region have taken delivery of one brand new motorbike each, ahead of the December 7 elections.
The presentation was made by the Ashanti Regional Council of Elders of the NPP for effective campaigning towards the December 7 polls.
The beneficiary constituencies included Ahafo Ano South West, Ahafo Ano South East, Ahafo Ano North and Sekyere Afram Plains.
The First Vice Chairman of the Ashanti Regional NPP Council of Elders, Dr. Musah, used his own coffers to buy the motorbikes for his group to present to the party.
Dr. Musah is a top farmer at Mankranso, in the Ahafo Ano South West Constituency and he is noted for periodically helping the NPP both in cash and in kind.
The Chairperson of the Ashanti Regional NPP Council of Elders, Mrs. Rosemond Appiah Menka, presented one of the bikes to Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency NPP.
In her remarks after the presentation in Kumasi on Wednesday, she said her group has taken a firm decision to play leading roles to help the NPP retain power.
In this regard, Mrs. Appiah Menka stated that the presentation of the motorbikes to the four constituencies formed part of the roles they would play to help the NPP.
She urged the beneficiary constituencies to work hard by spreading the good works of the NPP administration, in order to attract more votes for the party during the polls.
Some members of the Ashanti Regional NPP Council of Elders, including Victor Owusu Jnr, Nana Wiafe Ababio, Dr. Oheneba Danso and Madam Mary Nyarko were present.
George Akom, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency, who received the motorbikes, commended the donors for a good job done.
He said the motorbikes would help the NPP to win the Sekyere Afram Plains seat for the first time this year, urging other NPP groups to emulate the example of the donors.
