STEPHEN Kyei Gaddafi, the Assemblyman of Anhwiaso Electoral Area in the Adansi Asokwa District of the Ashanti Region, has met his untimely death after his motorbike got involved in an accident at Kojo Nkwanta.

The Fomena district police said the motorcycle collided with an Opel taxi cab with registration number AS2673-14 at the farming community on the Kumasi-Cape Coast highway shortly after 4:00 pm on Monday.

“The motorcyclist was taken to New Edubiase Government Hospital with severe leg injuries and unfortunately was pronounced dead, while being prepared to be taken to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi,” said Supt. Yaw Obeng Asubonteng, the Fomena district police commander.

He said it was too early to state the cause of the accident, indicating that the police need some time to finish with the investigations.

Supt Asubonteng explained that the Assemblyman was heading to Fumso when the accident occurred and that his remains had been deposited at the New Edubiase Hospital morgue.

He entreated motorists to be cautious on the road, especially, in this rainy season.
