Awakeners Church Celebrates 17th Anniversary

Bishop Peter Kayode – Founder of Awakeners Church International

The Awakeners Church International will hold a song ministration service at the church premises located off Pentecost Junction, Agape Ablekuma, in Accra, to climax its 17th anniversary celebration.

The event, which is slated for this Sunday, is being organised to thank God for the mercies and kindness He continues to shower on the church.

It is expected to bring together hundreds of Christians, ministers of the gospel from some Christian organisations, gospel artistes as well as a section of gospel music lovers on one platform to worship and praise God.

It will witness live musical performances from some of the gospel acts who will grace the event as well as the Awakeners Church Choir.

The founder and leader of the church, Bishop Peter Kayode, who is also a gospel artiste, will use the occasion to celebrate his 30 years in the gospel ministry.

The bishop, who is billed to perform at the event, is expected to perform some of his hit songs such as Am Blessed, Back To Sender, Arise And Shine, Don’t Give Up, Thank You Jesus, God Is Love,  and Remember Me, to entertain the congregation.

Also known as the ‘Dancing Pastor’, he explained that the event is being organised by his church to bring Christians and gospel music lovers closer to God.

He, however, promised all those who would grace the event lots of surprises, adding that the presence of God would definitely be felt at the church on Sunday.

Before the main event on Sunday, there will be an awards ceremony on Friday at the Maxlot Hotel, Kokomlemle, opposite Starr FM in Accra where a number of personalities will be honoured for their contribution to the growth of the church.
