The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, has set up a platform for Senior High School (SHS) graduates in the constituency to check the results of their West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) free of charge.
According to her, all that a candidate needs to do is to call or Whatsapp the team in charge of the free WASSCE checker on 055 460 0579 for immediate response.
Addressing a section of her constituents, the MP indicated that her mandate included easing the burden of parents by taking up the cost involved in the checking of WASSCE results by SHS graduates in the Covid-19 situation.
Madam Alhassan said “if you are in Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, you don’t need to pay any fee to get your WASSCE results. Just contact my team to attend to you.”
In a post on her Instagram page, the MP wrote, “Free SHS + free result checker” and later told DAILY GUIDE that some of the parents had expressed gratitude.
“They have pledged to vote for me to retain the seat for more development,” she asserted.
The provisional result of the 2020 WASSCE shows that the first beneficiaries of the government’s free SHS programme performed well in subjects such as the English Language and Mathematics as compared to 2019.
