MANAGEMENT OF Azar Group, a leading manufacturer of quality paints of all kinds and building materials, has donated GH¢100,000 to the Covid-19 National Trust Fund set up by President Akufo-Addo to help solicit resources to manage the spread of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Ghana.
The Managing Director of Azar Group, Ghazi Azar, made the presentation on behalf of the company to the fund in Accra.
Making the presentation, Mr. Azar stated that the gesture was a way of support by the Azar Group towards the efforts by government to contain the spread of the pandemic in Ghana.
“As a group with almost 10 decades of experience in Ghana, we deem it necessary to support this worthy campaign, since we all have a responsibility to the development of our dear country,” he said.
The donation was received on behalf of the Trust Fund by Justice (rtd) Sophia Akuffo who thanked the management of Azar for their support.
The Azar Group which includes Azar Chemical Industries Limited, producers of quality leading paint brands such as Azar, Shield, Savanna and its allied products for both local and export markets.
It is the foremost producer of paints in Ghana. Another subsidiary, City Paints Supplies Limited, distinguishes itself as a long-standing hardware retail outlet in the country, with a product range that has served the building and construction sector of Ghana since 1921.
