Baakoh Blow For Kotoko

Asante Kotoko have been dealt with a blow as a result of the absence of playmaker, Maxwell Baakoh.

The dribbler was not part of the Kotoko side that tamed NKana FC in Kumasi on Sunday.

Indications are that the player has been nursing injury for some time now which aggravated during the team’s last training session.

And responding to what accounted for his absence after the Baba Yara conquest in a press conference, coach Charles Akonnor explained “Maxwell Baakoh is injured and he will be out for some time. He has been playing with the injury for some time now. But he aggravated it during our final session.”

Akonnor added “He will be out for about 12 weeks to six months, depending on whether he will undergo a surgery or not. We will have to wait and see.”

So far, Baakoh has hit the back of the net twice in the Confederations Cup competition.
