Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has demonstrated his commitment to education in the Savannah Region with a generous donation of GHC 200,000 to the Yagbonwura Biikunuto Jewu Soale educational fund.
The donation, presented by Savannah Regional NPP Chairman, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana, underscores Dr. Bawumia’s passion for empowering needy students.
“NPP’s Free SHS program has benefited thousands, and as President, Dr. Bawumia plans to extend support to tertiary education,” Alhaji Sulemana announced.
Additionally, Finance Minister Mohammed Amin Adam donated GHC 100,000 to the Biikunu Educational Fund.
Yagbonwura’s Visionary Plan
The educational fund launch is part of Yagbonwura Biikunuto Jewu Soale I’s 5-year strategic plan for Gonja Kingdom’s development.
The fund aims to provide scholarships for underprivileged students, ensuring equal access to education.
