Bawumia Shakes Bolga To Round Up Nationwide Campaign

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia,Vice President of Ghana and the frontrunner in the governing NPP’s flagbearer contest, has concluded his nationwide campaign tour with a mammoth rally in Bolga, the Upper East Regional capital.

The rally, attended by thousands of delegates and party members from various constituencies, marked the culmination of months of engagement and the presentation of Dr Bawumia’s vision for the party and the future government.

In his speech, Dr Bawumia highlighted his contributions to the growth of the NPP and the sacrifices he has made over the years.

He also addressed the concerns of party members and outlined his proposals to deepen Party-Government relations.

He announced plans to allocate a significant number of appointments made by the President directly to the constituencies and regions, to ensure a stronger connection and representation.

He also proposed assigning non-MP appointees as godparents to constituencies and establishing a Welfare Office to address the needs of party members.

Dr Bawumia urged the delegates to ignore the “lies and propaganda” spread by his opponents and emphasized that the NPP, with him as the flagbearer, has the opportunity to break the mythical ‘8’ and secure victory in the upcoming elections.

He highlighted his track record in winning elections and governance experience as Vice President for two terms. Dr Bawumia emphasized that he can unify all factions within the party and foster peace and unity between religious groups in the country.

He declared that he is the candidate the NDC fears the most, as they would not have a campaign message against him.

Calling for unity, Dr Bawumia reminded the delegates that the flagbearer contest is an internal contest and the real challenge lies in the main battle of the December 2024 elections.

He urged party members to come together, forgive each other, and prepare for the upcoming elections, noting that breaking the ‘8’ is possible with their collective effort.

Dr Bawumia expressed his gratitude to his Campaign Team, led by Fred Oware, as well as other party stalwarts and contributors who have supported his campaign.
