Samira Bawumia
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will introduce pragmatic policies that will benefit every Ghanaian when elected as president, the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, has announced.
She said just as President Akufo-Addo introduced the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy to benefit all and sundry, so will Dr. Bawumia’s administration do in political office.
“The Free SHS programme is the foundation as it was introduced to benefit all. Dr. Bawumia will also implement new policies to benefit all when he becomes president.
“We will train one million youth in digital jobs and we shall also create jobs to benefit the masses, among other policies to accelerate economic growth,” she promised.
Samira Bawumia said the President Akufo-Addo administration has laid a firm foundation for economic growth, stressing that Dr. Bawumia is the right person to build on it.
In this regard, she urged the electorate to, in the interest and development of the country, vote massively for Dr. Bawumia since he has the wherewithal to lead the country.
Addressing a gathering at Abofour Zongo in the Offinso South Constituency in the Ashanti Region on Tuesday, she entreated the Zongo communities to support the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mrs. Bawumia said the NPP administration has worked to uplift and transform the Zongos since they assumed power, and it was time for the Zongos to reciprocate the love.
She said some people made the Zongo communities believe that the NPP is not their party, stressing that this blatant lie and propaganda always attributed to the NPP’s low votes in the Zongos.
According to Samira Bawumia, despite the propaganda, the NPP government works tirelessly to make life comfortable and better for the people in the Zongo communities.
In addition to uplifting the image of the Zongos, she said the NPP was the political party to produce a first Muslim Vice President in the person of the late Alhaji Aliu Mahama.
Also, Samira Bawumia said the NPP has produced the first ever Muslim presidential candidate for the December 7 polls, who is her husband, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Over the years, she stated, the NPP has shown amazing love and honour to Muslims and people in the Zongo communities in general, saying, “Let’s reciprocate the love.”
“The NPP has shown love and honour to the Zongos and Muslims by giving us a presidential candidate, so let’s reciprocate the love on December 7 by voting for the NPP,” she added.
Samira described the NPP as a national party, which elects its leaders based on competence, noting that “the NPP doesn’t look at your tribe when electing their leaders.”
She said the December 7 polls is about the future of the country, and therefore urged the electorate to vote for Dr. Bawumia since he can secure their future with better programmes.
“The incoming Dr. Bawumia’s government will create a fund for women to support your businesses and livelihoods, so your choice on the day of election is Dr. Bawumia,” she said.
