Beast Of No Nation’s Child Actor Cries Over His $30k

Strika

Child star of Netflix production, ‘Beast of No Nation’, Emmanuel Adom Quaye, better known as Strika, has accused his handlers of duping him.

According to Strika, an amount of $30,000 was transferred by Netflix into an account held in trust for him by one Kofi Robert, who was a coach on the ‘Beast of No Nation’ set.

The account was to be handed over to him when he is 18 ? but Strika, who is now 19 years now?   is yet to be given access to his account at Barclays.

Speaking with MzGee on Joy News channel, Strika disclosed that he sleeps in a friend’s game house and fends for himself with the money he makes as a porter.

“I went to the bank with Kofi Robert and another person (Zoe) and they told me the money was from the U.S. and will transfer it into a Barclays Bank for me. I went there to check whether the money is there but I was told me my name is not part of their register,” he stated.

The issue about Strika’s $30,000 first made the headlines in August 2018 after reports alleged that he was walking the streets of Accra to beg for money to survive.

A Facebook user by name Caleb Nii Boye allegedly found him in the street begging and made a post about it.

“I am sad this morning. I was heading to the Ghana Institute of Journalism campus and I met Strika. You would ask who is Striker? Striker starred in the movie Beasts of No Nation. The said film that made Abraham Attah. Today I met him begging for money on the road leading to GIJ. I called him and brought him to campus. Speaking to him he tells me he now works with a gentleman who sells yam at Agbogbloshie Market. He stays with his grandma at North Kaneshie,” Caleb stated in his post.

But almost a year after that incident, Strika’s situation hasn’t really changed. His acting career doesn’t look that active as well. Meanwhile, his colleague actor Abraham Attah is doing very well out there.
