Actress, Beverly Afaglo, has reportedly passed away at the age of 42, leaving the entertainment industry and her fans in deep shock and sorrow.
The sad news comes just four days before her 43rd birthday, which would have been celebrated on May 28.
Beverly’s death was confirmed by her husband, Eugene Baah, popularly known in the entertainment industry as Praye Honeho or Choir Master.
The tragic development has thrown the Ghanaian movie industry into mourning, as colleagues, friends, and fans struggle to come to terms with the sudden loss of the talented and lively actress.
Although the exact cause of death has not officially been confirmed, speculations suggest Beverly may have been battling cancer.
Long before her passing, the actress opened up in an emotional interview about how cancer claimed the lives of both her father and sister. She also urged the public to prioritise their health and take steps to avoid the deadly disease, while expressing hope that she would never suffer the same fate.
Confirming the devastating loss in an emotional social media tribute shared on Sunday, May 24, 2026, her husband wrote:
“My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife Beverly Afaglo!!! It would have been just like 4 more days to your birthday but I guess the Lord wanted to celebrate with you so He called you.
You were my strength, my happiness, and the reason my life felt complete. Every moment with you was a blessing I will cherish forever. I promise to take care and continue everything we planned and started. Until my last breath, you will remain in my heart forever. Sleep well my babe. R.I.P to a legend,” he wrote.
Beverly Afaglo enjoyed an acting career that spanned over two decades and starred in several popular Ghanaian movies and television series. Some of her notable productions include “Big Girls Club,” “Total Exchange,” “Crime to Christ,” “Playboy,” “Girls Connection,” and “The King’s Bride,” among many others.
Beyond her successful acting career, Beverly was loved for her vibrant personality and warm heart.
