Ghana’s Black Maidens have arrived in Rabat, Morocco, to begin the final phase of preparations for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup after completing a two-week training camp in Casablanca.

The team will kick off their Group C campaign against Norway on Sunday, October 18, at the Mohammed VI Football Complex before facing Brazil on Thursday, October 22. They will conclude their group-stage fixtures against Canada on Saturday, October 24.

During their time in Casablanca, the technical team assessed the squad’s readiness through international friendly matches against China and Kenya as preparations gathered momentum ahead of the tournament.

Ghana will be eager to make an impression on their return to the global competition after missing the previous edition. The Black Maidens have a notable history in the tournament, winning bronze in 2012 and reaching the quarter-finals on three occasions.

The team is expected to hold its first training session in Rabat on Wednesday as the technical staff put the final touches to their preparations for the opening match against Norway.
