Black Maidens
Ghana’s Black Maidens have departed Accra for Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire, ahead of the 2026 WAFU B U17 Girls Cup, which begins September 15.
A squad of 20 players, accompanied by the technical team, left Accra on Sunday as Ghana begins its campaign to defend the title.
The Black Maidens are the record winners of the competition and will be determined to retain the trophy. The team is scheduled to play its opening match as they begin their quest for another WAFU B U17 Girls Cup triumph.
The delegation is expected to arrive in Yamoussoukro and will begin preparations immediately, with training set to commence ahead of their opening fixture.
