Black Sherif’s ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ Making Impact

Black Sherif’s

For about two weeks now, Black Sherif’s hit song, ‘Kwaku The Traveller’, has been topping charts on both local and international streaming platforms, and making it the most sought after song globally.

The song, which was produced by Joker Nharnah, went viral after his star-stunned epic rain performance at the just ended 3Music Awards 2022.

The song has since topped many music charts, including making a debut on the Afrobeats Chart Top 20 at No. 2 on April 17, and also made an entry into the Billboard Top Triller Global Chart.

In less than a week, after ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ was released, it debuted at number 76 on Apple Music’s Top 100 Global. The rapper beat J. Cole’s ‘No Role Modelz’, Drake’s ‘Wants and Needs’, Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Good 4 U’, and Doja Cat’s ‘Women’ on that chart.

He also made history when he became the first solo artiste from Ghana to reach number one on Nigeria’s Top 100 Chart on Apple Music.

Black Sherif set a new record again as ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ joins two billboard charts this week; The US Afrobeat Song at number five, the top Trailer Songs Global at number 12, and climbed to the second spot for the first time on UK Afrobeat Chart.

The song has since gained over 4.2 million views on YouTube.
