Burna Boy
Popular Nigerian musician, Burna Boy, was the proud winner of 2021 Bet Award’s Best International Act.
He beat other nominees including Wizkid, Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz and other acts from France, UK and Brazil to emerge the winner.
This year’s award ceremony was held on Sunday at the Los Angeles Microsoft Theatre and was hosted by actress Taraji P. Henson under the theme “Year of the Black Woman.” Several American musicians performed and picked awards at the ceremony.
After receiving the international act award, Burna Boy revealed that he was grateful even though it was his third time winning the award.
He noted that it hasn’t been easy but there was no going back.
“I just want to give thanks to God who has made this possible. I also want to thank my mama and the whole management crew who work effortlessly with me.
“This is my third one, back to back it’s not been easy but we aren’t stopping here. I also want to thank the BET management crew for this beautiful award,” he was quoted by Nigeria’s Dailypost.
