President Paul Biya
Cameroon President Paul Biya has ordered for the early closure of schools and offices during match days of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
The initiative is to offer football fans the opportunity to enjoy the continental football festival.
In a tweet, the president stated, “The President of Cameroon Paul Biya and Prime Minister have instructed that during the hours of AFCON2021 matches schools should close at 12:00 GMT and Government Workers also close at 13:00 GMT so as to enable them watch the matches live.”
The competition enters day eight today.
