According to information gathered by DAILY GUIDE, Oklu wanted someone who would only buy the vehicle and use as scrap to avoid being arrested.

Briefing the paper, the Legon District commander, ASP Emmanuel Ofori Anokye, said the incident occurred on April 25, 2018.

He narrated the modus operandi of the police that led to the arrest of the suspected car snatcher.

Preliminary investigation revealed that sometime in 2016, Oklu took the vehicle from its owner to operate on “work and pay basis..

After taking the car, he refused to account to the owner and the engine later got destroyed.

According to the police officer, the owner then took the vehicle from him and after repairs, gave it to another driver to use.

On April 25, 2018, ASP Ofori Anokye claimed, Oklu called the new driver on the phone to come and pick him and a friend to Atadeka, near Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region.

The driver then charged them GH¢35 and while on the way, the two men pulled a gun and knife on the driver and succeeded in snatching the vehicle from him.

They then brought it to a secret location at Legon and were looking for someone to buy it as scrap when Oklu was apprehended.
