The sixth edition of the Central Music Awards will take place on Tuesday, December 26 at the Centre for National Culture (CNC) in Cape Coast.
The awards ceremony is being organised to acknowledge the contribution and achievement of the artistes in the region.
The Central Music Awards (CMA) has grown into the most anticipated awards scheme on the entertainment calendar in the Central Region.
This year’s event seeks to foster the development of the Ghanaian music industry and reward deserving artistes in the region for their hard work, dedication and contribution to Ghana’s music industry.
According to the organisers, the awards ceremony will witness performances from some of the nominees and award-winning artistes.
Candyman Lucas Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of Candymania Entertainment, said this year’s awards ceremony promises to be different from the previous ones.
He hinted that a lot of packages have put in place to make this year’s event a memorable one.
The annual awards scheme which is aimed at raising the standard of Ghanaian music is expected to attract Ghana’s top musicians, stakeholders in the music and copyright sectors, a cross-section of music lovers and the general public.
This year’s awards will witness additional categories such as gospel artiste of the year, hip-life song of the year, hip-hop song of the year, dancehall and reggae songs of the year.
