The National Chief Imam over the weekend launched Sissamba Empire, a real estate firm operating at Ardeyman in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

Sheikh Nuhu Osmanu Sharubutu was joined by other eminent Muslim clerics for the launch of the company, which intends to promote development in the area.

Sissamba Empire, a registered firm, is into the sale of lands and buildings, as well as provision of construction related services.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sissamba Empire and Development Chief of Sapeiman, Nii Abbey Okanfrah I, in a statement during the event, said that the company in the area would help create employment opportunities for the youth and provide social support services to the needy.

He seized the opportunity to debunk media reports that he was illegally developing lands belonging to others.

“It has become necessary to invite you the people of the media to send out clear message across since recent occurrences, if not checked and condemned, have the tendency of tarnishing the image of our company Sissamba Empire and my person,” he said.

Nii Abbey Okanfrah I claimed that “some group of people whom I describe as land snatchers have taken a bold step of destroying my reputation through newspaper publications, spreading of lies and fabricating of stories.”

He accused some journalists of allowing themselves to be influenced by the alleged land snatchers.

“Ironically they found their peers among you, the people of the media, to assist them in their chosen path of destruction and character assassination, they have been so fortunate to obtain some of you at their beck and call, just some little token paid, then these fabrications go flying all over the world without the minimum or elementary checks and balances.”

“This is very unfortunate for our society, ladies and gentlemen of the media, you owe a duty to be more ethical and reasonable. I have been a victim of a series of malicious newspaper publications sponsored by these land snatchers,” he declared.

According to him, “These land snatchers have plied their trade of land snatching for a very long time, in some areas they succeeded but left behind an endless atmosphere of litigations and lawlessness.”

The CEO urged all prospective land and estate buyers to visit his office to transact legitimate business.
