Selected Chief Inspectors and Inspectors will soon commence a course to prepare them for a competitive examination for admission into the Police Academy.
They would upon completing the Police Academy be commissioned into the officer class with the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police.
A circular or ‘signal’ in security parlance originating from Commissioner of Police, R.M. Nimson has already been sent to police formations across the country requesting that chief inspectors and inspectors who were promoted on or before 31/11/2011 who have clean records should avail themselves for the opportunity. Such inspectors would be required to write a competitive examination for admission to the Police Academy at the end of the course.
The course which would be managed by resource persons from both the Police and some members of the Ghana Bar Association would begin on 3/10/2016 to Monday 24/10/16.
