Chief Of Staff Supports Race Course Fire Victims

THE CHIEF of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, has supported the victims of the recent fire outbreak at the Race Course Market in Kumasi.

She has presented 70 bags of cement, 1000 pieces of wood 2/4, two trips of sand, 20 boxes of roofing sheet nails and 50 boxes of ordinary nails.

Frema Osei-Opare also presented 400 pieces of roofing sheets and 20 galvanised steel poles. In addition, she would also pay for the workmanship. The items presented and the workmanship are estimated to cost a GH¢150,000.

The support from Frema Osei-Opare is intended to help the fire victims who are all traders, to reconstruct their burnt shops, and get back to business.

Nana Afia Kyeiwaa, the Race Course Market Queen Mother, on behalf of the fire victims, received the items presented during a short ceremony on Thursday.

She described the Chief of Staff as a loving and caring mother, who has on countless occasions demonstrated her love for the Race Course traders.

According to her, Frema Osei-Opare always rushes to the aid of the Race Course Market traders in difficult times and they are grateful to her.
