Chinese Man Shot Over GH¢4,100

THE CHINESE national that was recently shot at Ahodwo, a suburb of Kumasi, has been identified as Ting Tiant, 42.

It has also been revealed that the hoodlums shot him over an amount of GH¢4,100, before they bolting away on October 20.

A police report seen by DAILY GUIDE said four strong men, who were in charge of two motorbikes, robbed and shot the Chinese man by the roadside in broad day light.

The police report said the victim was transacting business with a mobile money vendor at Atinga Junction in Kumasi but suddenly, the trigger-happy hoodlums appeared at the scene and without any provocation shot the victim in the shoulder.

The criminals then forcibly seized a bag, containing GH¢4,100 from the hapless victim, who was then bleeding, and absconded.

The report said the victim was quickly rushed to the New Cross Hospital at Ahodwo, where he was receiving treatment.

Police received a distressed call and rushed to the crime scene, only to find clots of blood and pellets to confirm the attack.

The report said police had started investigations but they were yet to make any arrest in connection with the robbery case.
