Obaapa Christy
Gospel artiste Rev. Christiana Adwoa Twene, known in the gospel music scene as Obaapa Christy, is set to launch her 11th album titled ‘W’agye Me’ on Sunday, March 17.
The event is scheduled to take place at 2:00pm at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Holy Ghost Temple at Adenta-Frafraha in Accra.
A section of the gospel music industry stakeholders, ministers of God, radio presenters, as well as family and friends are expected to grace the event.
The ‘W’agye Me’ album comprises praise and worship songs like ‘Amen’, ‘W’asue Me’, ‘Aseda Nwom’ and ‘Ma Enye Yie’.
Obaapa Christy, who is currently under Francoba Management, is expected to thrill patrons and her teeming fans at the launch. There will be surprise performances from some of the female gospel artistes who were featured on the album.
Rev. Obaapa Christy has produced over 50 songs, including ‘Aseda Nwom’, ‘Hyebre Sesafo’, ‘Downfall of A Man’, ‘Onyame Ba’, ‘Meti Ase’, ‘Ayari Sa’, ‘Moving Forward’ and a host of others. Her music career spans over two decades.
She has collaborated with a lot of gospel artistes and also shared the stage with a number of local and international artistes.
