CID HQ Takes Over Prampram Murder Case

The late Samuel Kateynor aka Shaba

THE CRIMINAL Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service in Accra has taken over the investigation of the murder case involving the killing of a construction supervisor at Prampram, near Tema.

DAILY GUIDE understands that an alleged contradiction in the accounts leading to the death of Samuel Kateynor aka Shaba, a 33-year-old resident of Ashaiman, made the Police Headquarters call for the docket.

The homicide team of the police visited the crime scene at Prampram last week to gather enough evidence on the death. However, the police are yet to effect any arrest since the incident occurred.

Superintendent Mohammed Issah Cantona, Commander of the Prampram District Police Headquarters, confirmed the investigation to DAILY GUIDE via telephone interview.

The deceased has since been buried last Friday according to Islamic religious rites.

Shaba was reportedly shot on Thursday, May 14 when he and his colleagues attempted to fend off an attack on a land they were helping to develop.
