Comfort Foundation Commissions 2 Borehole Projects In Kwahu

Comfort Foundation and Comfort Angelz Day, an NGO based in the United Kingdom, on Monday, October 23, 2023 commissioned two borehole projects that bring access to clean water to two communities in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region.

The foundation established in 2018 is aimed at providing support to the needy, with Kwasikrom and Kwadjo Nkansah being the latest communities to benefit from the foundation.

The Founder of the Foundation, Beverley Annan-Forson, also donated some books, bags, pens and pencils to some schools in the community after commissioning the boreholes attended by the sub-chiefs from Obomeng-Kwahu.

According to her, “We have a dream of giving children good water, which is life, so now we are going to communities and building boreholes, also we donate maternity wards just to give back to the community and God willing, we will be doing more and everyone will hear from our foundation. This foundation is giving to the needy”.

She explained that “Since the establishment of the foundation we’ve been able to provide schools, with computers and learning materials, clothes and others. We’re doing this for quite a long time and this is the fifth year”.

“The way forward is for those in the UK to know that Ghana also needs our support. For those who can give is just to be able to make them more aware to give them some things. It’s not just us doing it but people all over will be able to support as much as they can and that is the main thing behind it. We need help and support, anytime anyone thinks of giving or anyone wants to donate with the heart, my idea is for them to come to Ghana before they go anywhere else” she said.

The Gyaasehene of Kwadjo Nkansah Community, Emmanuel Avie also expressed gratitude to the foundation for the timely support.

“We are grateful to the foundation for this intervention. The school has over the years faced numerous challenges but we are happy to have received this support from the foundation. I will plead with the government to also come to our aid”

“We’ve been facing a lot of challenges as a community particularly (water crisis and access to good healthcare). So, we are grateful to this foundation for the support but we will still ask for more. Again, we will need a CHIP compound to get access to proper healthcare”, he said.
