Court To Hear Coup Monger Barker-Vormawor Bail Application Today

Leader of the #FixTheCountry Movement, Oliver Mawusi Barker-Vormawor will today know his fate with regards to his bail application filed at the Tema High Court A.

The court is scheduled to hear the application pending trial.

The court is presided over by Justice Daniel Mensah.

Last Thursday, the court adjourned the case to March 14, 2022 to give ample time to Barker-Vormawor lawyers to study an affidavit of filed by the Attorney General’s Office opposing the bail application.

Counsel for the applicant requested for about week to study the prosecution’s affidavit after it was delayed in receiving by applicant after prosecution filed it at the court on Wednesday and the accused lawyers served the subsequent day.

Barker-Vormawor lawyers have told the court that they needed time to go through the affidavit hence the request for short date which was granted by court.

Barker-Vormawor has been remanded in police custody by the Ashaiman District Court after he was arrested on February 11, 2022.

He has been charged with treason felony in connection with a Facebook post he allegedly made suggesting that, he will organise a Coup if the Electronic Transaction levy commonly called E-Levy was passed by Parliament.
