COVID-19 Didn’t Kill Seth Frimpong

Prophet Seth Frimpong

Rumours that the late Prophet Seth Frimpong may have died due to coronavirus infection are not true, NEWS-ONE has gathered.

He rather died of diabetes at the age of 50.

The gospel musician, who was popular for his song ‘Okumchola’, gave up the ghost early Friday, April 24, 2020 at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.

Prophet Frimpong was nicknamed the dancing prophet due to his unique flair and style on stage and in his videos.

He announced his presence in the music scene in 2000 and graced Ghana with the albums like ‘Ade A Nyame Aka’, ‘Enkosi Aga’ and ‘Mehuri So’.

His death came as a shock to many who were not aware he was sick.

“No one should say COVID-19 killed Prophet Seth Frimpong. He was diabetic and that was what killed him,” fellow musician Diana Asamoah also dispelled the COVID-19 claims on Happy 98.9FM.

“Osofo Seth’s love for God was so immense that nothing could draw him away from God, not even his condition. He had gone on a fast regardless of his condition. I didn’t think it wise for him to even fast with such a condition. But when God takes over your life, you disregard a lot of things,” she added.

There are other claims that his wife is stuck in Italy due to the closure of the country’s borders in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
