Covid-19 Update: Accra Records Over 3,400 Cases

The Greater Accra Region has recorded 3,436 out of the country’s total of 4,012 cases of Coronavirus ( Covid-19).

This was contained in the latest update of the country’s case management released by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) on May 8.

Greater Accra is followed by the Ashanti Region which also recorded 45 new cases brining the total in the region to 210.

The Eastern Region also recorded an additional case to increase its count to 96.

The Central Region has recorded 58 cases while the tally for the Western North Region stays at 56 cases.

The Western Region also increased its case count to 35 from the previous 32 and Volta Region added two more cases to bring to 32, its tally.

The Upper East Region also kept its case count at 26 cases as the Oti Region recorded an additional case to bring to total 24 cases.

The Upper West Region now has 20 cases from the previous 19 while the Northern Region recorded three additional cases to imcrease its cases to 16 and the North East Region has two cases.

The Bono Region still has a case of Covid-19.

The regions without any record of Covid-19 cases are the Savannah, Ahafo and Bono East regions.

The update also added that the number of recovered persons has increased to 323 from the previous 303.

The death toll for Covid-19 is 18.
