Osei Assibey Antwi and other officials during the tour with the building showing the cracks
The deplorable Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Court at Adum in Kumasi poses a major threat to the judge, lawyers and other patrons.
George Boateng, the Registrar at the KMA court, disclosed this to the new Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Osei Assibey Antwi, who was on a tour of the facility to obtain first-hand information.
Mr Boateng called on the mayor to rehabilitate the building to avert disaster in future.
According to him, apart from the cracks, the court also lacks space which creates problems for managers of the facility.
Mr. Boateng disclosed that some key court records were being kept in the judge’s chamber and the courtroom.
He appealed passionately to Mr Osei Assibey to take steps to immediately rehabilitate the building to ensure the safety of people.
