A scene during the launch
The DAILY GUIDE and Study Abroad have launched a joint essay competition for graduates; the ultimate prize of which is a full scholarship for a Masters programme at the Glocal University in India.
The contest is being organised in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the country’s independence by the two organisations.
DAILY GUIDE regards the competition as part of Western Publications Limited’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme – previous ones having supported needy but brilliant persons in society.
A representative of Study Abroad at the launch within the DAILY GUIDE premises last Thursday said their outfit is partnering Western Publications Limited because of the brand’s outstanding position in the media industry.
In 5000 words, competitors are expected to compose an article on the following title “Encouraging The Reading Culture In A Developing Country- Ghana’s Social Media Era.”
A three-man jury will deal with the expected thousands of entries to arrive at the final winner.
