Dan Botwe and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
In a recent gathering of New Patriotic Party (NPP) members in Okere in the Eastern Region, Dan Botwe, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Okere Constituency who doubles as the Minister for Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, declared Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the best strategic choice for the party in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Botwe, who has a long and distinguished career within the NPP, emphasized his deep knowledge of the party and its key figures.
While acknowledging the presence of ten aspirants vying for the party’s flagbearer position, Botwe reiterated his unwavering dedication to the NPP and declared that the party is the only one that can guarantee progress for Ghana.
“When it comes to the future of our beloved country, Ghana, the NPP is the only party that can guarantee progress,” Dan Botwe declared, rallying the crowd.
With his extensive political experience and understanding of the party’s inner workings, Botwe stressed the importance of a strategic decision to ensure victory in the forthcoming elections.
He confidently stated that after careful consideration, he believes electing Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as their flagbearer is the best strategic decision for the NPP.
“After much thoughtful consideration and careful analysis, I am confident that the best strategic decision for the NPP is to elect Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as our flagbearer,” Botwe endorsed, attracting massive applause from the crowd.
This public endorsement from an influential party member like Botwe gives Bawumia’s candidacy a significant boost, elevating his profile within the party and potentially reshaping the dynamics of the flagbearer race.
As the NPP looks ahead to the 2024 elections, this development sparks speculation about the future direction of the party.
Calls for Bawumia to succeed President Nana Akufo-Addo have been growing steadily, and now, with Botwe publicly supporting the Vice President, a clear message is being sent to NPP members across the country – Bawumia possesses the strategic acumen and dedication needed to lead the party to victory in 2024.
