Deeper Life Church To Bury Bonsam’s Mom

The mother of feared fetish priest, Nana Kwaku Bonsam, has passed on and shockingly, her burial service is to be officiated by the Deeper Life Bible Church, a Christian denomination famous for its commitment to biblical practices and standards.

Despite Kwaku Bonsam’s steadfast belief in his several deities and idols, it is amazing that his mother’s funeral would be a Christian one and he himself would be present.

A copy of the funeral invite sighted by NEWS-ONE states that the late Mavis Appiah will be put to rest at Akumadan Afrancho in the Ashanti Region on Saturday, August 20, followed by a Christian thanksgiving service at the local branch of the Deeper Christian Life Ministries.

Bonsam told NEWS-ONE he found nothing contradictory about a fetish priest asking a Christian church to officiate the funeral service of his late mother.

“Go and read Matthew chapter 7 verse 1 and stop judging me. My style of worship may be different from your style of worship but at the end of the day, we are all looking up to one God; just that we have different ways of reaching that one God.

“Many ignorant people would start insulting me over this one as they always do, as if God has appointed them judges over me or any other human being. Let us wait for judgement day and see who makes it to heaven,” Bonsam noted.

About a year ago, Bonsam’s seven-year-old son, Nana Kofi, told NEWS-ONE that he was a member of the children’s choir of a local Christian church in his community.

“Yes, I attend church and I also sing in the choir,” the young boy said.

When asked if he knew his dad was a fetish priest, Nana Kofi said he had heard that report about his father and had also seen him perform rituals for various people.

“My friends ask me about him at school and I tell them that it is true. He can do many things and many people come to him. Even this morning they brought three madmen to him and the other day too he made leaves turn into plenty money,” the boy revealed.

Asked whether his dad had ever asked him to stop attending church, Nana Kofi said the fetish priest rather encouraged him to attend church and had threatened to punish him anytime he missed Sunday church service.

The father confirmed the report to NEWS-ONE and explained that he himself was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church before becoming a fetish priest and that till date he still did his quiet time and read the Christian bible every morning.
