The minister, together with officials of the District Education Directorate and the Municipal Chief Executive, visited about eight schools including Osiem SDA, Osiem Presbyterian, Osiem Methodist, Old Tafo Presbyterian and Kukurantumi MA.

Ms. Twum commended the teachers for their sacrifice and entreated them to keep up the good work. She also advised the pupils to learn hard to become responsible adults for the country in future.

The MP said there was a lack of supply of textbooks to schools for some years but teachers were able to teach and added that with the new curriculum, the teachers can teach without textbooks.

She called on parents not to worry about issues regarding textbooks as she believed the teachers were well equipped to teach even without textbooks.
