The Diana Hamilton Ministries has announced the 2023 edition of the annual gospel concert, “Awake Experience with Diana Hamilton.”
It kicks off on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at the Perez Dome in Accra with performances from Diana Hamilton and supporting artistes such as Minister Joe Mettle, Perez Music, Celestine Donkor, Bernice Panford and Ohemaa Mercy.
There will be other surprise artistes on the bill to give patrons a wonderful gospel experience.
The following weekend, February 26, will be a Kumasi edition of the experience at the Church of Pentecost, Bantama. Among the performers will be Piesie Esther, Moses OK, Kofi Sarpong and Ceccy Twum. They are expected to deliver back-to-back transformational songs to thrill patrons.
Speaking at the launch, Diana Antwi Hamilton indicated that since the inception of the Experience with Diana Hamilton, the primary focus of the event has been to create an atmosphere where “God moves in “with his presence and power, drawing people to be touched, healed and saved.”
She also indicated that for the first time in Ghana, her team of organisers has designed a seminar programme dubbed “Sit with Diana”, which will provide some mentorship and coaching sessions to young ministers of the gospel.
The team, together with Diana Hamilton, will also embark on outreach programmes and activities in the build-up of the Awake Experience.
The 2021 VGMA Artiste of the Year is hopeful the concert will be a life-changing one.
“I selected the best gospel minister to support my event and this year promises to be an unforgettable one if you check my lineup.
“I hope that Ghanaians come in their numbers this year to show support by patronising this year’s gospel programme to have the Experience,” she posited.
The Experience with Diana Hamilton has run successfully since 2014, with London being the first-ever city to host the concert, as Ghana hosted its first edition in 2016.
The programme, over the years, sold out large venues in London, Accra, and Kumasi, making it undoubtedly one of the notable events of choice in the calendars of lovers of gospel music in Ghana and across the world.
The 2023 Awake Experience with Diana Hamilton is sponsored by Awake Purified Drinking Water, Properties Electronics, Yazz Sanitary Pads, and Adom City Estate, and tickets are selling at GH¢50 (Single), GH¢90 (Double), GH¢100 (VIP) and GH¢200 for a family package.
Present at the launch ceremony were General Secretary of the Church of Pentecost Apostle Kumi Larbi, Bishop Owusu Ansah, Prof. Opoku Onyinah, and Rev. Hedwig Quist, among others.
