Former Ghana’s Most Beautiful queen, Sally Akua Amoakowaa Mensah, has broken her silence over reports that she has divorced her husband.

She described rumours about her divorce as stupefying while she asked the media to respect her marriage.

“Marriage is no joke so as divorce. So please let’s respect this institution most especially when it has been blessed with kids,” she said in an Instagram post.

Akua, who is the CEO of Miss Golden Stool beauty pageant, is the fourth wife of Dr. Kwaku Oteng, the CEO of Angel Group of Companies. They have two kids; all boys.

Reports about their divorce allegedly started from deleted post by Akua herself on Instagram.

In an earlier media reports she wrote on Instagram, she said, “Sometimes you just have to learn how to walk away. When it’s not making you happy and it’s rather stressing you take a bow. My marriage of eight years is over. I won’t give anyone the right to take away my happiness. I’m walking from everything that is stressing me.”

Later, the post was allegedly deleted from her Instagram post.

Other reports also alleged that she has not been wearing her wedding ring.

But on Monday, she made a U-turn to deny divorcing her husband.

She said she has changed her mind on a decision not to address the rumours making the rounds.

“I decided not to address news circulating on social media about my marriage but upon second thoughts, I think it will be better for me to clear the airwaves. First of all, I am not divorced as being disseminated. Again, my husband is not a man who will seize things or gifts given after a tiff! To cup it all, I have no interest whatsoever in Angel Educational Complex as some bloggers perpetuate.  It’s stupefying how some people take delight in peddling false rumors. Marriage is no joke so as divorce. So please let’s respect this institution most especially when it has been blessed with kids. All these things you write to hurt people just for traction affect them negatively most especially the children. If only the media would direct the same energy they use in broadcasting negativity to positive things like MISS GOLDEN STOOL, Ghana would be a better place!!! Thank you,” she indicated in the Instagram post to clear the air.
