Celebrated Ghanaian disc jockey (DJ), Kofi Amoako, also known as DJ Vyrusky, has been billed for a super music showdown at the 9th edition of Ghana DJ Awards on Saturday, November 27 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
DJ Vyrusky, who will be the headline DJ for the awards ceremony, is a renowned disc jockey who is known for setting the pace for hip hop, hiplife, and dancehall music in Ghana and beyond.
He has made a lot of impact on the music scene, paving the way for him to be counted among the best in Ghana.
He is currently the 2017 Ghana DJ Awards Best DJ of the Year and Best DJ from the Ghana Music Honors.
Other DJs confirmed to rock the upcoming event include DJ Vyrusky, DJ MJ, DJ Floppy, DJ Sly, and DJ Ikon among others. They are expected to delight fans with their danceable songs which will turn the venue into a dance hall.
In addition to three performing DJs, the organisers said a number of local artistes such as Kwabena Kwabena, Kuami Eugene, KiDi and a host of others have also been invited to rock the stage alongside DJ Vyrusky.
Put together by Merqury Republic Events to bring more excitement to the DJ profession in Ghana, this year’s event which will be graced by a number of international DJs is expected to attract musicians, DJs, and music producers among others.
The organisers have promised Ghanaian music fans that this year’s edition of the Ghana DJ Awards will be different from the previous one, adding that this year’s event will bring together the best of Ghana’s music industry to celebrate the event with music fans.
They added that the awards ceremony will be a unique experience for fans, adding “Ghanaians should come and experience an extraordinary musical event on November 27.”
The awards ceremony dubbed ‘Take Over’ is being organised to reward hard working radio, night club and mobile DJs, who have contributed immensely to the growth of the entertainment industry in Ghana.
