Miss Ghana 2026, Rumzia Sule, has urged young women aspiring to join the Miss Ghana pageant to embrace their backgrounds, remain authentic and have a clear sense of purpose.
Speaking on Joy FM with Andy Dosty, alongside first runner-up, Fatimatu Zara Ishacu, Rumzia said contestants must look beyond the excitement of winning a crown and focus on what they hope to achieve with the platform.
“When you win and all the excitement is gone, what is left? You need something to keep pushing you. Know what your purpose is and live by it,” she said.
She added, “Don’t be ashamed of your journey. Whatever it is, just don’t be ashamed of it. What makes you different might actually be what makes you stand out.”
Rumzia, who won the Miss Ghana 2026 crown, represented Ghana at the 75th Miss World festival in Vietnam, where she placed among the Top 6 Beauty With A Purpose finalists in Africa.
Her advice comes as the Miss Ghana pageant looks towards its 70th edition.
