Don’t Force Me To Join You – Prince David Osei To #FixTheCountry Supporters

Actor Prince David Osei has been responding to social media trolls who have been attracting his attention in an attempt to get him to support #FixTheCountry campaign.

According to him, he can’t be forced into supporting the campaign.

Last week, some activists on social media started the #FixTheCountry campaign to get leaders to solve the country’s developmental needs.

This led to a huge debate about whether it is Ghana or the attitude of its citizens that needs to be fixed, which also gave birth to hashtag FixYourAttitude campaign to retaliate the previous campaign. Both hashtags have since been trending.

Osei is one of the celebrities who supported the idea that every Ghanaian has a responsibility to play in the development of Ghana, hence the need for change in attitude to support leadership who are fixing the country.

However, his position has been met with attacks from persons who are not happy about his support for the current Akufo-Addo-led government.

A lady in an Instagram video on Friday threatened to slap the actor if he was close to her. Others rained insults on him on Twitter but in his response he said he has a choice to support whatever he pleases to.

“I want to retweet this a million times… Gyimi sorr when I lambasted the government my own people, for increase in tariffs on COVID-19 freebies last month, did anybody’s mother or father join my voice?? Use your voice don’t force me into sh*t!!! I don’t just jump!! Excuse me,” he tweeted.

“You gladly gave the mandate to the President in January to govern for the second term, because he fulfilled most of his promises in the first term! Just three months into his tenure amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic, you are crucifying him? Something doesn’t add up!” he also tweeted.
