Kyeiwaa
Veteran Kumawood actress, Rose Mensah, popularly known as Kyeiwaa, has encouraged Ghanaian youth to prioritise education, emphasising its critical role, especially for those aspiring to live abroad.
In a video she shared on Instagram, the actress spoke extensively on the value of education.
“While your parents are struggling to cater for your education, don’t let it be in vain. Don’t avoid education, go to school. You would not see the impact now when you abandon school. You will become as I am, finding it difficult to speak English…I have experienced the same and I am advising you,” she indicated.
“Don’t joke with your education…I regret a lot now,” she also wrote.
Now based in the United States, she revealed her struggles due to her limited educational background, particularly in communicating effectively in English.
According to her, her inability to speak the language fluently has posed significant challenges on her daily interactions and access to opportunities.
Kyeiwaa continued about how a lack of formal education can limit job prospects, hinder access to essential services, and impede social integration in developed countries.
This call to action serves as a reminder to the youth to value education as a cornerstone for success in an increasingly globalised world.
