Don’t let NDC Propaganda Divide Us – Freddie Blay To NPP Members

The National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Freddie Blay is urging the members to unite the party front and sell the government achievements to the public than allowing the opposition National Democratic Congress to use its propaganda to make Ghanaians believe that the government has dissipated all the state resources.

According to the National Chairman of the NPP, in his message to the delegates at the National Delegates Conference in Kumasi, he tasked the party members to be very vigilant in protecting the integrity and dignity of the party by counteracting the NDC propaganda not by equalization but by elevation of discourse.

Mr. Blay said, “It is however worth noting that some of our party loyalists sometimes expressed concerns about the effectiveness of our communications concerning our good projects and programmes”.

He added that “As the ruling party, we must never forget that we rise or fall based on our communication strategies, and therefore we must seek to improve on that. Our communication as a Party at all levels, and on all social and mainstream media platforms must be actively and vigorously directed towards all well-meaning Ghanaians and the electorate”.

He noted that “As a ruling party and government in power, the record shows that we have nevertheless been able to reduce the impact of COVID-19 on the Ghanaian people through the initiation of good policy interventions under the able leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his Vice President. I dare say that these are the times when this country needs the NPP to keep the country on course”.
He further expressed worry that “unfortunately, at a time when we are the envy of most of Africa countries, the opposition NDC and its allies have been focused on undermining our efforts in every shape and form. All we have witnessed from the opposition are persistent and cacophonous agitations in our beautiful democracy that we have carefully nurtured over the last three decades”.

The NPP Chairman further continued that “As a party in government, there are many difficult decisions we have taken in the past and we will continue to do so in the interest of Mother Ghana”
He added that “It is obvious that such hard decisions may have been misconstrued by our friends in the opposition for political reasons or misunderstood by some members of the general public due to lack of clarity. Notwithstanding, by and large, and over time, many have come to appreciate the wisdom in such decisions”.
