Dr. Bawumia Donates GH¢100,000 To Ailing Yaw Sarpong

Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has donated GH¢100,000 to aid veteran gospel musician, Yaw Sarpong, who is currently battling a stroke.

The donation was made during Dr. Bawumia’s visit to the renowned artist, who is receiving care at the residence of Bishop J.Y. Adu.

Accompanied by the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako also known as Chairman Wontumi, Dr. Bawumia sought to uplift the spirits of Yaw Sarpong.

Chairman Wontumi highlighted the vice president’s commitment to supporting Sarpong, stating, “Hearing of your plight, I informed my boss (Dr. Bawumia), and he resolved to meet you and assess your condition before departing the Ashanti Region.”

Dr. Bawumia was accompanied by notable figures including the NPP National Chairman, Stephen Ntim, and gospel artiste, Nicholas Omane Acheampong, among others.

Yaw Sarpong has been battling a stroke for over a year. He has since been bedridden and is hopeful for recovery. There have been calls for support and prayers for him.
