MEMBER OF Parliament (MP) for Suhum Constituency in the Eastern Region, Frederick Opare Ansah, has told Ghanaians that the erratic power supply popularly known as dumsor, will not return.

According to him, there is no reason for panic because President Akufo-Addo government has what it takes to ensure that dumsor does not return.

He said “I heard the nation experienced a blackout and people are saying Dumsor is back. No! Dumsor is not back’’.

He explained that ‘’ it’s because there is ongoing construction of an interchange at Pokuase and they needed to change transmission lines. The transmission lines from Takoradi Aboadze pass through Pokuase and needed to be relocated and that caused the power tripping. In no time, we are not going to see that. Only Nana Addo has the key to ending Dumsor’’.

The Suhum lawmaker made the remarks when he engaged his constituents recently.

He seized the opportunity to school his constituents on government’s key policies such as: the Senior High School (SHS) Double Track System, One District, One Factory, Afforestation projects, among other policies.

As part of the outreach, he also donated over 300 street lights worth GH?240,000, among other relief items.

He noted that the Akufo-Addo-led government has laid down pragmatic steps that have reduced electricity bills and still on course to make it more affordable.

He said all these make the president a wonderful person and urged his constituents to hoot at those who claim Dumsor is back.
