Ebo Whyte To Hold Virtual Play On Fathers’ Day

Uncle Ebo Whyte’s Roverman Productions  is set to perform its second play for the year, titled, The Day Dad Came, to celebrate this year’s Fathers’ Day.

The Day Dad Came, written and directed by playwright, Ebo Whyte, would be streamed live to a large audience on Uncle Ebo Whyte’s YouTube page on Sunday, June 21.

A variety of social media platforms will also run the broadcast, including Facebook. There will be two showings – one at 4pm and another at 8pm on the same day.

Streaming the play via social media is aimed at putting smiles on the faces of Ghanaians during the celebration of Fathers’ Day.

Currently described as one of the biggest playwrights Ghana has ever produced, Uncle Ebo has written and directed a lot of plays, and his career spans over 40 years.

Uncle Ebo is also a motivational speaker and the creative head and lead writer at Roverman Productions.

Some of the plays he has written include I Want Your Wife, Dear God Comma, A Crazy Ride, Final Warning,  Not My Husband, Sex Scandal, God, You Are Fired, Dora Why,  Life Is Some Way, Mr President Your Move, The Devil In The Mirror and Dad Is Mum; Mum Is Dad.

The play, The Day Dad Came, tells the story of a father’s love, the unseen consequences of breaking vows and the saving power of a loving wife.

The Day Dad Came explores the issue of abusive love relationships and typical of Ebo Whyte’s plays, the story is told with humour, witty dialogue and with music.
