Ebony Wins Artiste Of The Year @ BASS Awards

Ebony won the artiste of the year award at the 2017 edition of the annual BASS Awards held on December 28 at the National Theatre in Accra.

Organised by Bullhaus Entertainment and Solid Multimedia, the awards scheme is aimed at celebrating and awarding excellence in the dancehall music industry in Ghana.  It also seeks to celebrate, showcase talents, innovation and success of the nation’s dancehall artistes.

The night saw Ebony taking home another award, the female vocalist of the year award.

Stonebwoy won awards for best dancehall video of the year, album of the year, dancehall song of the year, as well as album of the year.

Reggae and dancehall artiste Rass Kuuku also took home best reggae video of the year, whilst Rudebwoy Ranking grabbed reggae song of the year with his song, ‘Pain Dem’.

Blakk Rasta won the songwriter of the year, with Mix Master Garzy taking home producer of the year award.

Black Prophet was rewarded with record of the year award and Nii Lante was also adjudged best male vocalist of the year.

The night witnessed live musical performances as some of the awardees and other artistes who mounted the stage one after the other to thrill their various fans who graced the event.

Some of the artistes who performed at the event include Mzvee, Episode, Jahlead, Patoranking, MTN Hitmaker, Xali Hali, among others.
